Your thoughts are truly inspiring and I can apply those thoughts on my personal life. They are really simple practices but it can truly make a change and betterment to life. And for me it is always important to be kind to others and have positive outlook in life.

Very good advice, Steve. If you want to do something (good, I hope) and then relate that idea to others, some would think you won’t make it. As long as there is one person who believes you can do it, then go ahead. The only permanent thing in life is change.

Crystal, I think you are exactly right. I need my wife to slow me down because I will get ahead of myself daily if I could. Having someone like you that can listen and help guide is a real gift for your husband.

I have a different perspective. My husband is an innovator. I am a balancer. I am his strongest support and I believe in him, but he finds it invaluable to be able to ask me if I think he's moving too fast, or misreading people, or operating with blind spots.
Having an honest, balancing voice helps prevent the extremes of ignoring all complaints and plowing over people or giving complaints too much weight and doubting.
Vision is a great catalyst, but balance keeps it going.

I took my son shoe shopping yesterday for school. The first thing he does when looking for shoes is find all the "name brand" shoes. He found some of the ugliest shoes I'd ever seen and really wanted them, only because of the brand. I told him to stop worrying about what other people think of you and find the best pair of shoes for you. The ones that look nice and fit comfortably.

This same lesson can be applied with adults, accumulating too much debt, living in a bigger house they can afford, driving new vehicles with ridiculous car payments. Why? Because you care what other people think of you.

Humble yourself or be humbled!

Great article, there's always a cause for worries, a person will not worry if he or she has no problem that bothers him. I agree that worrying is only resulting to hurting ourselves. Worrying will not solve any problem, always spare sometime to think and plan.

Great insights here. Surround yourself with positive people–so true unless they are only positive about what you say (yes men) so good point as well about surrounding yourself with people who will tell you the truth.

Change is great in the long run. People adapt fast and will embrace new things if they are positive. Only those with a vested interest in the old ways will fight it.
