When you try start a blog for someone else you are probably going to fail. When you start a blog for yourself you will have pride in it and happiness will come.
I don’t want you to reinvent the wheel, but I do want you to focus on what you want out of your blog and not what everyone else is doing. As a coach I see every day other coaches trying to be all things to all people and they end up being nothing to no one. When you focus on building a something for yourself you will get to enjoy it and love what you are doing.
What you think about what you are doing is more important than anything else in the world. The pride you have in what you do will show in your work. I know people who live on beans and rice much of the time, but they make a difference in hundreds of people’s lives every week.
Ask yourself these questions? Yes these are the questions you have heard time and time again but you need to listen and do it this time.
What am I good at? While this seems like an obvious question, many people have no idea what they are good at.
What do I want in a blog? If you want it, chances are there are other who do too. You may need to find a community to connect with, but they’re out there.
Who do I need to connect with? Are these clients, other people in my business, other bloggers?
What do I need to stop thinking about myself or my business? Maybe you are your biggest detractor. If you think you can’t, then you can’t.
What is my next step? This may take a little time, and it is a question you need to be asking early and often.
